I painted in the hot, hot weather today with my friend Jan Trager. She supplied the beautiful backyard and flowers (and a nice lunch) and I brought some of the props. We struggled a bit with drawing and composition and worked with the same limited palette; Cad Yellow, Cad Red medium, Ultramarine Blue, Transparent Oxide Red and White. It was a good exercise and we achieved more beautiful color than I thought we would. It was fun and I think we learned from one another.
